Started by Professors Robert Deacon and Charlie Kolstad 30 years ago in May 1993, the Occasional provides an opportunity for environmental and resource economists to share their work and ideas in a relaxed setting on the beautiful University of California, Santa Barbara campus. It is geared towards graduate students, faculty, and researchers at universities, private institutions, or governmental agencies, with a particular focus on early career economists.
